Grief is a natural reaction to the pain of losing someone
whom you loved and cared for and are going to miss deeply. Sometimes there were things left unsaid or maybe you were estranged - this can be difficult in other ways.
Everyone experiences grief and loss differently. Some people get angry, others cry a lot and/or become very withdrawn, however grief is a very personal thing and there is right or wrong way and no time limit on how long it takes. Dying Matters has further information on grief and loss.
Counselling may also help you if you would like to talk things through. Sometimes it is easier to talk to someone you don’t know rather than talking things over with family or close friends.
