YoungMinds - Our Chosen Charity

Nearly 5% of every paid membership from CounsellorsUK will go to our chosen charity each year.

What YoungMinds do

YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.   Driven by their experiences we campaign, research and influence policy and practice.

YoungMinds was established in 1993 and is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.

YoungMinds’ work is embedded in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The views of children, young people and parents are at the heart of the organisation. Our aim is to improve the lives and futures of many more children and young people experiencing mental distress.

Why CounsellorsUK have chosen to support YoungMinds.....

Generally many patterns of behaviour and feelings towards oneself can and are for many from the experiences they faced in the early years of life.  This is why we feel it's so important to support the work of YoungMinds and invest in helping the next generation have the best chances to help them grow into well balanced, emotionally healthy adults.

Vision

Our vision is of a society which is active in building the emotional resilience of children and young people, and which responds caringly and effectively when necessary so that we create emotionally strong, healthy, contributing and independent adults, families and communities.
